Statement by William Dar and R. S. Paroda, Chairman and Executive Secretary respectively of the Asia Pacific Association of Agricultural Research Institutes (APAARI) on the priorities, and opportunities for collaborative agricultural research in Asia and the Pacific. The document was prepared for the first meeting of the Global Forum on Agricultural Research held at CGIAR International Centers Week, October-November 1996. It was circulated as an input to the GFAR discussions leading to a Declaration and Action Plan for Global Partnerships in Agricultural Research.
