Abstract/Description
Presents results of a market survey of 10 of the primary livestock markets used by the southern Afar of Ethiopia, with particular reference to analysis of data on types, sexes & prices of individual animals; and market characteristics, including total number of animals sold, ethnic origin & occupation of suppliers & buyers, reasons for sales & purchases, and distance travelled by animals to reach markets.
