Abstract/Description
CCAFS research provided technical support to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and World Bank (WB) to (1) enhance ADB's confidence in investments in low-emissions sustainable livestock production ($215M) and plant-based meat (up to $50M) and (2) inform WB's carbon asset facility for agriculture and indicators of mitigation to assess investments. CCAFS also provided the WB guidance on carbon crediting and monitoring for soil carbon, which informed the USD 500 million Kazakhstan Sustainable Livestock Development Program for Results.
