Abstract/Description

The Minutes of the 36th Meeting of June 1989 refer to procedures for integrating forestry; they reflect the Center Directors view on the need to contribute to strategic thinking in the CGIAR and select candidate issues for study. CDC views on the integration of the non-associated centers into the CG and on the new resource allocation process, including the role of special projects are provided. Decisions are reached on centers as brokers for NARs technical assistance, on the responsibility of the center boards in implementation of EPR recommendations and on developing new relationships to be able to affect the decision making process in the system. The minutes also contain reports of the various CDC Committes such as the Benefits Committee, Preservation and Documentation Committee and Sustainability Committee.
