Amendment no. 2 to the Contract between the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation and IRRI for the National Agricultural Research Project

The purpose of this amendment is to extend the life of the contract from its present termination on 31 December 1993 to 30 June 1994, the termination date for the National Agricultural Research Project. In addition, the amendment is to provide an opportunity for an orderly transition in the rice program to whatever type of support follows NARP and is needed to maintain the strong collaborative relationship between the Egypt RiceProgram and the International Rice Research Institute. This amendment was signed on May 13, 1993 by Klaus Lampe, Director General, IRRI and Adel El-Beltagy Director General, NARP, Egypt.
