Abstract/Description

Letter dated January 29, 1996 from CGIAR Chairman Ismail Serageldin to Center Directors on progress in securing funding for the 1996 research agenda, attaching his letter to heads of delegation of January 26 which is in a separate record.Serageldin expressed caution about full funding for 1996, given the difficulties faced by the United States Government, and made a pitch against diversion of CGIAR donor funds to activities outside of the research agenda.
