Abstract/Description

Following several years of confined field trials and on-farm trials to test the safety and performance of Bt cotton hybrid varieties, the Government of Malawi approved their release to farmers for the 2019-2020 season. 20,000 farmers planted it. The Program for Biosafety Systems provided technical support to the government throughout this process.
