Abstract/Description

A website that aggregates and displays live data from milk samples taken in a random sample of milk collection center.

This platform provides raw (anonymized) data of over 14062 milk samples submitted by milk collection centers in Mbarabra, Kirihura, Kazoo, and Ntungamo in Uganda. The data was recorded through 75 milk analyzers installed by the Ugandan Dairy Development Authority in randomly selected local milk collection centers. The platform allows one to select a custom date range (e.g., the last 30 days) and obtain the average butter fat (%), average SNF (%), average protein (%), and average added water (%) of samples taken for each milk collection center. The platform provides the average price paid (in UGX) and the average milk quantity (liters). The platform also reports the total number of samples submitted to each Milk Collection Centre (MCC) during the selected period. In addition to averages by MCCs, the platform also provides the evolution of overall averages over the chosen time frame (using moving averages).
