The first version was first published in 1998 and in paper format. For the last four years, PABRA has been developing the second edition, which shows dramatic changes in bean production areas across Africa, where some have expanded and others have shifted. The new atlas will be digital and available online soon. The new edition contains information from bean producing areas in Eastern, Southern and Western Africa and represents a total of 22 countries. It overlays bean producing areas with information on: bean varieties grown in those regions; ongoing seed production and dissemination work; local, national and international bean markets; market routes; information on end users, farmers and bean consumption; bean constraints, both Biotic and abiotic; and more.Item Strategy paper: a participatory and area based approach to rural agro-enterprise development(Book, 2006) Ferris, S.; Best, R.; Lundy, Mark M.; Ostertag Gálvez, Carlos F.; Gottret, María Verónica; Wandschneider, T.Item A market facilitator's guide to participatory agroenterprise development(Manual, 2006) Ferris, S.; Kaganzi, E; Best, R.; Ostertag Gálvez, Carlos F.; Lundy, Mark M.; Wandschneider, T.Item Producing bean seed(Manual, 1998) David, S.Item Produçao de semente de feijao comum: manuais para pequenos produtores de semente(Book, 1998) David, S.Item Identifying and classifying local indicators of soil quality: methodologies for decision making in natural resource management: Eastern Africa version(Manual, 2000) Barrios, E.; Bekunda, Mateete A.; Delve, Robert J.; Esilaba, Anthony O.; Mowo, J.; Zapata Sanchez, V.Item Phenotyping common beans for adaptation to drought: protocol for greenhouse evaluation(Manual, 2012) Polanía Perdomo, José A.; Rivera, M.; Ricaurte, Jaumer; Rao, Idupulapati M.This protocol was provided for the identification of phenotypic differences in drought resistance in common beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.).
