The discourse is shaped by the experiences of the Global Agenda for Sustainable Livestock, a multi-stakeholder partnership which facilitates policy dialogue and action among diverse stakeholders to make livestock systems more sustainable. The Global Agenda for Sustainable Livestock adopted the aforementioned SDGs as the reference framework for its actions, which are organised under four domains (food and nutrition security, animal health and welfare, livelihoods and economic growth, and climate and natural resources). These domains are used to highlight the complexity and diversity of the livestock sector, its positive and negative relationships to development, the integral roles of animal health systems and the opportunities for livestock sector contributions towards a sustainable future.Item ILRI Assistant Director General Shirley Tarawali becomes chair of GASL(Video, 2020-11-24) Tarawali, Shirley A.A two-minute photofilm of images of Shirley Tarawali, assistant director general of the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) and chair of the Global Agenda for Sustainable Livestock (GASL).Item Summary of the GASL Africa 1 Regional Multi-Stakeholder Online Meeting, 2-3 September 2020(Presentation, 2020-09-14) Tarawali, Shirley A.Item Til the cows come home―A well-worn path or a new trajectory: Exploring why livestock matter in sustainable development(Presentation, 2020-02-19) Tarawali, Shirley A.Item Storytelling session by Mwihaki Muraguri at the 2019 ILRI Institutional Planning Meeting(Video, 2019-11-04) Muraguri, M.Item Freedom to operate biosciences innovations and Intellectual Property management(Presentation, 2011-03-16) Opati, LindaItem ILRI research travelling further than ever before(Video, 2011-01-18) Scott, R. The key issue was how we ensure that the outputs of ILRI research travel beyond the usual places ... to reach a much wider range of people and partners. This past year, we made the shift from an organization that relied on paper to one that more and more works in a virtual environment. The challenge now is to see how we can stretch ourselves even further!Item ILRI Partnerships and Communications: the goods and the bads(Presentation, 2010-04-16) Scott, R. Bruce
