Abstract/Description
The report of the first system wide review of the CGIAR, conducted in 1976. The document consists of a summary of the CGIAR discussion of the report in October 1976, a transmittal letter to the CGIAR from Warren C. Baum as Chairman of the Review Committee, the report proper, and an annex by Nathan Koffsky discussing world food needs. The committee had fifteen members, including the chairman. It was served by a study team of four, led by Alex McCalla of the University of California at Davis. There were a total of 22 recommendations covering: the scope of the CGIAR; center issues; and CGIAR planning, evaluation, allocation and management.
