Summary report of the 21st meeting of the GRPC, held April 23-25, 2005, at Bioversity International, Rome, Italy, Carlos Correa presiding. Included: an update on the implementation of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture and preparation for the second Session of the Governing Body, a report on the upcoming 11th Ordinary Session of the Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture, a discussion on the Centres' policy to use the Standard Material Transfer Agreement (SMTA), a review of the draft CGIAR policy on managing and accessing CGIAR products and intellectual assets, and other related documents, and a report on a teleconference on the implementation of the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety.
