| dcterms.abstract | Annual report issued by the CGIAR Secretariat to inform all participants in the System of developments in the financing of activities.Pending completion of new MTPs, 1993 was an interim year. At ICW92, the Group approved 1993 core programs of $264.4 million, but core grant funding amounted to $235 million, a shortfall of 11%, and 5% less than in 1992. Actual 1993 complementary funding was $76 million. Core expenditures of centers declined from 1992 by 2%, resulting in an operating deficit and a decline in reserves. Overall center staffing fell by 10%.
