Providing a snapshot of CTA’s achievements during the last decade, this book is a celebration, rather than a conventional impact assessment. Under six broad chapter headings – producer organisations, policy action, ICTs, research and development, providing information to farmers, and trade and markets – it gives a fascinating insight into the broad range of activities that CTA has supported through partnerships across Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific (ACP). The stories cover a wide range of countries, stakeholders and approaches. Some focus on activities that are directly helping to improve the productivity and incomes of small-scale farmers and fishers, while others describe the support CTA has provided to academic institutions and researchers. Further cases give a flavour of the many policy processes in which CTA is playing an active role. Presented in an attractive, accessible manner, with a wealth of photos, quotes and individual case studies, all the stories contribute to CTA’s goal of improving food security and reducing poverty. They also provide compelling evidence that CTA has made a real difference through its various interventions, and should serve as an inspiration for groups, organisations and individuals working throughout the sector.Providing a snapshot of CTA’s achievements during the last decade, this book is a celebration, rather than a conventional impact assessment.
