| dcterms.abstract | Providing a snapshot of CTA’s achievements during the last decade, this book is a celebration, rather than a conventional impact assessment. Under six broad chapter headings – producer organisations, policy action, ICTs, research and development, providing information to farmers, and trade and markets – it gives a fascinating insight into the broad range of activities that CTA has supported through partnerships across Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific (ACP). The stories cover a wide range of countries, stakeholders and approaches. Some focus on activities that are directly helping to improve the productivity and incomes of small-scale farmers and fishers, while others describe the support CTA has provided to academic institutions and researchers. Further cases give a flavour of the many policy processes in which CTA is playing an active role. Presented in an attractive, accessible manner, with a wealth of photos, quotes and individual case studies, all the stories contribute to CTA’s goal of improving food security and reducing poverty.
