Report of the 17th meeting of the GRPC, held in Hyderabad, India, from February 28 to March 2, 2005, Carlos Correa presiding. On the agenda: Finalization of the “Guiding principles for the development of Future Harvest Centres’ policies to address the possibility of unintentional presence of transgenes in ex situ collections”, update on the November 2004 meetings of the CGRFA and the CGRFA Acting as the Interim Committee for the International Treaty, update on the Centers' draft agreement with the Governing Body and the process for development of products on Center research, update on the Svalbard (Norway) long term storage facility, operationalization of article 15.4 of the International Treaty, update on the African Working Group on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture.
