Report of the Center Directors Committee to the CGIAR Mid Term Meeting 2000

Report of the Center Directors Committee (CDC) to the CGIAR Mid Term Meeting 2000. The CDC reported on interaction with TAC on the development of the CGIAR 2010 Vision, participation in two Consultative Council meetings by CDC representatives, and the activities of task forces on Sub-Saharan Africa, Central Asia and the Caucasus, Natural Resource Management, and Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources.The CDC meeting also included CIP Director General and PARC Chairman Hubert Zandstra's report of PARC's discussion of "Toward a Long-Range Financing Strategy for the CGIAR." CDC endorsed various measures to strengthen Future Harvest and the use of its name in direct association with the centers. It also considered measures taken to overcome the European Commission funding problem.
