| dcterms.abstract | Report to ICW 1998 by the CGIAR NGO Committee, which held its seventh meeting in October 1998 during International Centers Week. The report describes activities since MTM 1998, including visits to IPGRI and CIMMYT by the Committee Chair, accompanied in the latter case by the TAC Chair to assess collaborative research between three NGOs and the center. It also covers the outcome of a workshop at the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR) on research partnerships between NGOs and agricultural research institutions, and a consultation on natural resource management in October 1998, which is the subject of a separate report in the collection. The report also summarizes the views on the System Review Report expressed on behalf of the Committee at ICW 1998. One suggestion is consideration of a regionalization of center responsibilities.The report was presented orally to ICW 1998 by the Committee Chair, and this written version was circulated later. | en |
