Report of the Impact Assessment and Evaluation Group to the CGIAR Mid Term Meeting 1997

Third report of the Impact Assessment and Evaluation Group (IAEG) to the CGIAR, presented at the CGIAR Mid Term Meeting, May 1997. It presents the work of the group over its first 18 months of existence, and requests comments from the CGIAR on its accomplishments and plans. Work in progress includes a methodological review and synthesis of existing CGIAR ex post impact assessments, the impact of CGIAR germplasm improvement on food production, and an assessment of the adoption of CGIAR agricultural innovations, with nine sub projects at specific centers identified. A study of the impact of CGIAR innovations on poverty was being developed.
