Report of the Third External Programme and Management Review of the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF)

Report of the third external program and management review (EPMR) of ICRAF, conducted between November 2005 and February 2006 by a panel chaired by Jeffery Burley. The document contains an extract from the report of the CGIAR meeting of December 2006, a Science Council Commentary, a transmittal letter and ICRAF response to the third EPMR and a transmittal letter and report of the Panel on the third ICRAF EPMR. In the seven years since the last EPMR the Centre has in view of the Panel, reduced its strategic research and pathbreaking research that might produce International Public Goods. The Panel made 15 recommendations in its report covering strategies, regional and systemwide programs, governance and management and internal organizational changes. ICRAF Board and management agreed with 11 of the recommendations, leaving the remaining four for further analysis.
